History

Haycroft Workplace Solutions (HWS) is the umbrella organisation of the growing range of services provided by Small Business Union (SBU), Labour Hire Australia (LHA) and Labour Hire International (LHI).

  • Graeme Haycroft’s background in this industry starts from the time he pioneered collective Workplace Agreements in the late 1980’s under the Queensland Voluntary Employment Agreement Legislation; through the introduction of sub-contract shearing in 1992 and the first successful union-free highrise construction sites on the Sunshine Coast. He has a proven track record in industrial negotiation and advocacy.
  • The SBU was developed by Graeme Haycroft after a realisation that the paperwork and ideas used for his labour hire firm could be used by almost any business. This was quite a few years ago, and the SBU has become one of the largest producers of Workplace Agreements in the country.
  • Labour Hire International increases the ability of LHA to recruit and place or employ skilled workers, and it has developed networks across many countries, to assist businesses in accessing suitable personnel.
